Air-cooled RD Rally
10th / 11th / 12th July 2004

ASHBOURNE

Yet again the Air Cooled RD Club held its annual rally this year at Gateway Caravan Park, Ashbourne, Derbyshire
I set out from home at around lunch time on Saturday 10th knowing that the legendary ride would be in
full swing and that most of the bikes would be on it ! so I made my way over to Matlock Bath for a spot of lunch ?

Had I gone to heaven ? Hundreds & Hundreds of Yamaha RD bikes and '' Blue Smoke '' all around :-)
OK not hundreds ( someone will have the total amount ) but many ... many ... many
I was in such a shock that I almost got wiped out when I turned in front of a car to park up my bike !
After taking a few pictures and having a look at all the bikes I joined a group of total lunatics for the ride back to Ashbourne
They were soon gone into the distance ( good job Ashbourne was sigh posted )

I did get to the campsite in the end and spent a few hours in the company of '' RD Crazy Folk ''
A big thanks must go out to the Air Cooled Club for such a well organized rally.
