A monthly pilgrimage of LC owners from across the East Midlands is held at New Inn Shardlow,
1st Thursday in each month is the time to gather,
Owners and there bikes start  rolling in around 7pm,
Not that many bikes during the winter months !! but you will always find some brave soul.

Directions

Shardlow is situated 5 mins from Junction 24 of the M1,
Just off A50 on the old A6 road,
As you enter Shardlow look out for the Navigation Inn, enter the road at the side 'Wilne Lane'
follow this road to the humpback bridge, the New Inn is to your left,

Some Shardlow regulars display their bikes

After a conversation amongst some of the Shardlow regulars,
it was decided to show a selection of bikes at the nearby Donington Classic Motorcycle Show,
Rounding of the day was the news that Dave Shaw ( Martek ) had taken the award for best ridden,
A fantastic time was had by all and we are already looking forward to showing next year.

Again the Shardlow regulars display their bikes !

Following the success of the 2003 Classic Motorcycle Show it was again decided to show a
selection of our bikes at Donington's 2004 Classic Motorcycle Show this time a 2 day event !
A Big '' thank you ''  for getting the collection together must go out to Andy Ratcliffe
This year was again blessed with the news that some of the owners had taken awards at the event ,
Andy Ratcliffe had taken 2nd best Yamaha in show with his 1982 Candy Blue 350 LC,
Nigel Kimber won 1st prize in the special section with his Yamaha YZR 500 Replica,
And '' Yours Truly '' had taken the prize for Best Ridden to show ,
Top result for a bunch of Yamaha RD owners that meet at a small pub in Derbyshire each month.

'' Summer is almost with us in England ''
After a winter of RD owners turning up in cars to talk bikes / swap parts / make new contacts
the monthly pilgrimage of Yamaha RD bikes have started to show again at Shardlow !
It was very good to see that even at this early stage new bikes were starting to attend the event !
If you have an RD or any 2 stroke '' don't be shy '' get yourself along to the next one  !

Sorry I ain't posted any images from the East Mids meeting but I've been very busy :-)
The meeting has been going on all throughout the year but not taken or been sent any pictures !
The weather was not good but I took my camera along just in case anyone bothered to show !
