As the story goes !!!!

A  long....long.... time ago when I was a spotty 17 yr old I saw my 1st Yamaha RD LC.
It was a Black LC 350 ( 4LO ) and belonged to a youth down the street (Craig )
His (ex) missiz also had a RD 80 LC fitted with a Micron pipe......

( I can still hear it being thrashed down the street !!!  lol   lol )

Craig Smith .. 31-7-82        Craig Smith on the very bike..31-7-82...Reg VNN 604Y
                                               ( Have you seen it ?? )

Craig has given me copy's of the RD350/RD80 sales receipts
Check out those prices !!

This was to be the start of my biking days.

The 1st bike I ever rode was a Honda CB50J, Others soon followed as I became a Master in the art of pranging them, From what I can remember a list of the bikes I had were..........

Honda CB50J/Honda CB100N/Yamaha DT50/Yamaha YB100/Suzuki GP125...... Then !!!!!?????

A good mate of mine from school ( Crawler ) came round on a bike he was thinking of getting rid of, The HP payments were starting to get to him, So we came up with a deal, He took my Suzuki GP125 and I took over his payments...... The result was I got my hands on a Yamaha RD125LC... White with Blue graphics....

My Bike n Mole.
My 1st RD with "Mole" looking on.

The time I spent on this bike must rate as some of the best on two wheels..( For Me )
On my own or out and about with the lads....

Mole... Suzuki GP100
Dom... Kawasaki KH100
Gatesy... Honda MTX125
Colin ( Col )... Suzuki GP100
Al ( Bennett )... Yamaha RD125LC
Jonny 2 Bad... Yamaha RD125LC
AND

Crawler... Anything he could get hold of... Suzuki X7.. Yamaha RS100.. Jawa 350 combo.. As he often said ??
" SOD THE COPPERS "
We could be just screaming around town.. posing on the local market place or taking the usual Sunday blast over to Matlock, We even managed a few trips over to Skegness. ( You should have been there !! ) LOL..LOL..
My RD125LC was a sight to see,
Attacked with Blue Paint, Wheels, Belypan top Fairing, fitted a Blue seat and Hours spent polishing it !!!
Then...

BANG !!!
Fred n Jonnys

" Sorry " Son I didn't see ya coming..
The result was, 1 broken arm, 1 broken leg and a totalled bike.
This picture does not show all the damage ?? cracked wheel/bent frame/wrecked tank/clocks/bars/ side panels.
It was a mess but not all finished ??
I managed to salvage some of the parts for re-use at a later date, this included the motor .

After months of waiting for the insurance to pay out I got myself a new RD125LC, this time it was Red!!!

My Red LC                Me Bike n Megan.

The motor I had saved was re-built and painted by myself

Red Motor

This was fitted along with other salvaged bits, but it still wasn't the same as the old bike, a few more good times were had on the LC but times were a changing, Beer/Pubs/Clubs/Discos/Girls.
The Gang soon split and it was time to let the bikes go,
so with a sad heart I sold my RD125LC and ended my time on bikes ? ( or so I thought )

This is the last time I saw my RD125LC ( On the day I sold it ) SOB ! SOB !

Last Day ... Were is it now ???

Check out the rear tyre ???
